I suffer from severe acne-clogged pores on my chin, cheeks and forehead, and occasional inflamed acne. I’ve tried everything OTC and have been prescribed retinols, clindamycin, etc. I hear so many success story’s from people who have used Accutane. I’m making an appointment with my Dermotologist to be put on it, but before I start this, I’d like to know what I’m getting myself into. Anyone who has been on it or is on it, can you please share your experience with me? Thanks!
I just got off of Accutane and have red marks still on my face and its still very dry. I only wash my face with a bar of soap in the shower then mousturize afterwords… Do I need to buy specific facial washers for this condition or is what Im doing fine?
Whenever i use benzoyl peroxide i get a little itchy. No, I’m not allergic either. Just wanted to know. Also, if you have any recommendations for DRUGSTORE acne treatments, let me know. Thanks!
Does it work? I got TriNessa to help calm down the acne with the Accutane but I read about it online and a lot of people say it makes you break out more.
I’m almost done with my second month and with accutane and I started the TriNessa a week ago and I dont see any results, it kind of looks like I’ve been breaking out more with the TriNessa. Can someone tell me your experience with these two??
does accutane work on my back/chest.neck area?
my dermatologist told me to use it,,but my parents are stupid and doesnt want me to cuz of the side effects like on the liver and stuff ..but my derma told us that the chances are like 1/1000
so he’ll give me another medication for 3 months and if it doesnt work, then he’ll force my parents to use accutane
so yea ive heard that i really does work on ur face but is it as effective on ur back and chest and neck?

I wanna lose weight and the guys from gnc recommended LCarnitine since im sensitive to caffeine but they say take 1 capsule in the morning which is the same time i have to take my accutane medicine for my mild acne. I was just wondering if it is safe to mix the two together? seeing as carnitine is just an amino acid thin?? Help?
Almost exactly a year ago, I started taking Accutane (isotretinoin) for my acne. The dermatologist that prescribed it to me said that redness of the eyes will occur during the 6 months that I take the medication, but it will dissipate after I am finished with the medication. I have been off accutane for about 5 months now, and I still have red eyes. Before I took accutane, my eyes were perfectly white, but now they turn red a lot.
I tried Visine, but I realized that it is very addictive to my eyes, and if my eyes go for some time without Visine, they will get even redder, so Visine is out of the question.
I do have contact lenses, but I remove them regularly, and have kept the same process well before I started taking accutane, to this very day.
Please help?
My doctor prescribed me with Accutane. What will the effects be while taking it. Aside from having chapped lips and dry skin, would it affect my hair too? Wnd what’s a good moisturizer and lip balm to use while on the drug
Hello, I’m looking for some product recommendations. I started breaking out when I was 7. I’m now 21, and over the past year or so my acne had improved on its own (tried every over the counter and prescription available, except accutane because apparently my skin “wasn’t bad enough”).
I still break out, and recently tried a sample of neoceuticals spot acne treatment, which seemed to work alright, but I want more recommendations before I actually go and buy it.
I get the nodule types of acne on my chin area, and sometimes around my lips (they are not cold sores), and little blemishes on other areas of my face that sometimes come in patches. I also have bad looking skin because of the acne that I used to have. It has red spots all over it, and is just… “dull” might be the word. I always look dirty when I’m not wearing makeup.
What are the best products that you know of for reducing blemishes, and fading acne scars/making skin just look BETTER??
I get quite bad Hormonal Acne breakouts a week before my period. It is driving me mad. I need to know what kind of hormonal acne treatments are out there that could or would work best to help me control it or get rid of it. Please help
